MISSISSAUGA HERITAGE MONTH

Mississauga Italfest is Mississauga’s premier Italian festival celebrating Italian Heritage. The 13th Annual Mississauga Italfest was another very successful event which took place on Friday evening August 22 and all day Saturday August 23 with many activities and displays from the Sicily Region which this year was being hosted by the Mississauga Italfest 2025. Title sponsor of this year’s event was Solmar. EMCEES were Andrea Trentadue and Frank Spadone.
Heritage Awards were given to Sam Ciccolini for the first Legacy Award, the Luis Jannetta Youth Heritage Award to Maurizio Gioffre, Italfest Family Award to the Aldo and Noreen Lista Family and the Johnny Lombardi Award to Aldo Costantino. Presentations were also made from different level of governments. Direct from Italy to entertain were Pino Gioia, Giuseppe Gambi and the Little Tony Family with many other local entertainers. The crowd enjoyed the colourful costumes and displays from the Sicily Region, the many activities, food, entertainment and all that is Italian. Many government dignitaries were present to enhance the event and also the Consul General of Italy to Toronto Luca Zelioli.
